I’m back with a curated list of 10 things to do in Detroit and metro Detroit this weekend (April 11-13).
All Things Detroit Day
All Things Detroit Day honors local entrepreneurship by featuring more than 200 small businesses at Eastern Market on Sunday, April 13. Beat the Crowd tickets are available online for $15 and include a complimentary All Things Detroit tote bag, and you get to shop two hours before doors open (10 a.m.). General admission tickets are $7 and allow entry at noon.
Michigan Makers 2nd Annual Spring Market
The Michigan Makers Spring Craft Market featuring 400 Michigan-based crafters and vendors is Saturday, April 12, in Novi at the Suburban Collection Showplace from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. It’s $10 for parking but no cost for admission.
Afrobeats to the World
Afrobeats to the World, a high-energy experience where electrifying rhythms and music bring Afrobeats and African culture to life is Saturday, April 12, at Magic Stick. This is an 18+ event and doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets range from $15-30.
Michigan Panthers vs. San Antonio Brahmas
Michigan Panthers take on the San Antonio Brahmas Sunday, April 13, at Ford Field at noon. Tickets start at $22 on Ticketmaster.
Detroit Pistons vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Pistons take on the Bucks on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena. Tickets start at $47 on Ticketmaster.
The Macombers Spring Extravaganza
The Macombers, a collegiate show choir, hosts its Spring Extravaganza on Saturday, April 12, at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. A night of music and dancing, the Macombers host the following guests: Expressions, Chamber Choir, and Magic Company. Tickets are $15.
Easter Egg-stravaganza
Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada is hosting its Easter Egg-stravaganza on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets are $25.95 per child (adults don’t need a ticket for admission) and include an Easter egg scramble, a photo opportunity with the Easter bunny, train rides through the orchard, free face painting, Easter crafts, and access to the animal petting farm and Funland.
Many Stories, One Stage Gala and Performance
The Pontiac Youth Theatre presents this performance in support of its performing arts training program on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $25. Attendees will enjoy performances by students at the theatre, live entertainment, and an afterglow reception with an open bar on Friday (this increases the ticket price).
Nikki Glaser Alive and Unwell Tour
Nikki Glaser hosts two shows at the Fisher Theatre on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. While both are sold out, you can find tickets on the secondary market ranging in price (but dropping as we get closer to the first show).
Katt Williams: Heaven on Earth Tour
Katt Williams is at the Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, April 12, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster starting at $65.
