We’re almost to the weekend! Can I get a, “thank God!”?
Here are seven things to do in Detroit and metro Detroit to fill your weekend (February 28-March 2).
Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill’s North South West Party
Saturday, March 1, from 4-10 p.m., Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada is hosting its North South West Party. There are three themed tents with live music, drinks (of course), and entertainment. The north tent is fireside and ice themed, the south tent is a tropical getaway, and the west is country. Both adults and kids are welcome. More details and tickets are available on Blake’s website. Tickets start at $17 (fees included).
LepreCon Detroit
LepreCon Detroit is Saturday, March 1, from 6-11:30 p.m. It’s a pub crawl in Corktown with drink specials and prizes. The event supports Detroit’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. Tickets are available on eventbrite.
Detroit Autorama
Detroit Autorama is this weekend at Huntington Place. It features 800 custom hot rods, trucks, and motorcycles. There are special guests and themed competitions as well. Discount tickets are available at O’Reilly Auto Parts’ stores since they’re presenting the event. Tickets are also available at the gate starting at $28 for general admission.
Brick Fest Live
If you have kids that love LEGOs, Brick Fest Live is in Novi Saturday and Sunday. There are meet and greets with LEGO Master Tim Hutchings, walk-thru LEGO displays, music, food, and more. Tickets start at $17.
Detroit Pistons vs Brooklyn Nets
I’ve heard the Pistons are on a bit of a hot streak, so you can always catch a game this weekend. The Pistons play the Nets Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. You can get tickets on the NBA’s website.
Andiamo After Dark - A Blackout Dining Experience
This is probably the most unique event I’ve come across while doing this so I had to include. Andiamo Riverfront is hosting Andiamo After Dark - A Blackout Dining Experience. The experience features a dimly lit dining room. You are then blindfolded to heighten your senses and enhance the flavors. It’s a 4-course meal at $65 per person. You can learn more and make reservations on their website. At the time of publishing, only three tickets are left.
Lantern-lit Hike
Waterloo Recreation Area is hosting a lantern-lit hike on Saturday along its 1.5-mile Bog trail. You do need a recreation vehicle passport for entry into the park.
